Dr. Helmut M. Schuehsler
Chairman of the Board
Since joining TVM Capital in 1990, Dr. Schuehsler has been the deal maker on more than 30 direct investments in life science companies in Europe and the U.S including Bourn Hall Fertility Centre. In total he has overseen more than 100 investments in the life science industry and has built the TVM Capital Life Science practice as an internal start up within the firm to its international market position today.
On the life science side, he is currently a board member of bispecific antibody focused F-Star Group of Companies (Vienna/Cambridge, UK) and anti-infectives company, Biovertis AG (Vienna/Munich) and has previously held positions as chairman, vice chairman or board member for more than 20 innovative life science companies. In 2007 and 2008, Dr. Schuehsler served as chairman of Invest Europe (formerly the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA)). On the emerging markets private equity side he currently serves as chairman of Manzil Home Health Services (Abu Dhabi) and Bourn Hall International (Dubai/Delhi) and is a member of the board of directors at Ameco Medical Industries (Cairo) and Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center (Abu Dhabi). He previously held the position of chairman at ProVita International Medical Center.
Dr. Schuehsler was a member of the Selection Committee for the Technology Pioneers program, the Steering Committee of the Entrepreneurship and Successful Growth Research Program of the World Economic Forum (2009-2012).
Adil Ismail Saeedi Al Zarooni

Adil Ismail Saeedi Al Zarooni is the Senior Vice President for Sales at Economic Zones World (EZW) and JAFZA. He brings fourteen years of experience in executive management, investments, sales, and IT security. He has strong expertise across multiple sectors in investment and operations, and in family owned businesses, industrial business zones and logistics, UAE government owned entities and software and IT development. In the past he has assisted in the setup of Mobily in Saudi Arabia and worked for Etisalat. Al Zarooni holds directorship positions in firms in the sectors of healthcare, financial services, logistics, media, real-estate, and more. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Etisalat College of Engineering, and an MBA from the American University of Sharjah. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration.
Dr. Mike Macnamee, BSc,MSc,PhD

Mike Macnamee has over 20 years scientific and management experience in the field of infertility, rising through clinical embryology/endocrinology to replace Professor Robert Edwards as Scientific Director of Bourn Hall Clinic in 1991 and to General Manager in 2000. He has worked internationally in the research of reproductive drug development with over 60 peer reviewed published papers. Mike has extensive experience of giving both technical lectures and non-technical presentations to a broad range of audiences at worldwide conferences.Mike’s commitment to Bourn Hall’s future was demonstrated by his excellent leadership of the Management Buy-Out team in achieving successful independence from its previous pharmaceutical parent at the end of 2005. Mike is currently Chief Executive of Bourn Hall Limited which he has been growing and developing in the UK, including the acquisition of an additional clinic in 2009. More recently, Mike has been appointed Chief Executive of Bourn Hall International and is passionate about bringing high quality fertility treatment to Bourn Hall International clinics spending considerable development time in the territories.
Hoda Abou-Jamra, BSc

Hoda Abou-Jamra is Founding Partner of TVM Capital Healthcare Partners, the Dubai-based regional healthcare private equity investment operation of TVM Capital, a US$ 1.8 billion global private equity and venture capital firm. Simultaneously, she is the Founder and CEO of the non-profit “think tank” organization The BioExec Institute, Inc., in Cambridge, MA, USA. She has, in recent years, been invited to speak globally on private equity in the Middle East as well as the role of women in business in the Middle East. Hoda has also been featured in articles in the New York Times and in the Gulf region. Hoda is a current board member of Manzil Health Care Services, a provider of highly individualized home care services for adult and pediatric patients and The BioExec Institute, a non-profit biotech organization. Former board member of Gulf Healthcare International, Dubai, UAE, a regional healthcare services and medical laboratory company. Former member on several U.S. finance and fundraising committees, including Senator John Kerry’s Campaign Finance Committee, the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus and the BIO Business Forum Committee and the International Subcommittee. She graduated from the Bouve College of Health Sciences, Northeastern University, Boston, with a degree in Pharmacy.
Charles P. (CHAD) Floe

Chad is Operating Partner and Managing Director Corporate Finance with responsibility for finance and advisory activities with portfolio companies. Over a career of more than 27 years in investment banking, Chad built and led international teams of up to 80, focused on healthcare and cross border advisory. He has advised clients in more than 200 M&A, equity, and leveraged finance transactions in Europe, the US and the Middle East, while at HSBC, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Lehman Brothers, First Boston and originally at Morgan Bank. Chad has successfully transitioned from an established investment banking career to a plural healthcare industrial career, recently serving as International Director at HCA International (London’s leading private hospital group), responsible for evaluating, structuring and negotiating opportunities in the international clinical services space, particularly in the GCC and India. Chad has also served since 2006 as board member and senior advisor to Ottobock Group GmbH (a private German company and global leader in prostheses and mobility) and on the Executive Committee of the Board of HealthRight International (an international not-for-profit organization providing long-term healthcare solutions in the emerging markets). He received his MBA (with Distinction) from The Wharton School, and his BA in International Relations from Pomona College.

Jay Higham serves as a board member at Bourn Hall International Lmtd. He is a senior Healthcare executive offering more than 25 years’ experience in driving growth through four independent startups, emerging business, and diversification and high growth health care situations.
Recognized for consistently leading business expansion through infrastructure development, new or repositioned products & services introductions, pricing & financing models, market expansions, strategic partnerships, joint ventures and acquisitions. Adept at sourcing public & private capital, and the investor and community relations required for expanded market penetration. Experience operating in regulated environments. A team builder who adheres to a participative management style, rewarding open communications and personal initiative. Experience scaling geographically dispersed multi-facility operations on a national scale.
Jay currently is the CEO of Behavioral Health Group, Inc. He has been part of Integramed America Inc, in various leadership positions from 1994 to 2013 and was the CEO of Integramed America Inc. since 2006 till 2013. For four years prior to joining Integramed America he has served as Vice President of Health Systems Development of South Shore Hospital and South Shore Health and Education Corporation where he developed and implemented a strategy for integration with physician group practices and managed care payers.
From 2013 Jay serves on the Board of Directors for Behavioral Health Group and Bourn Hall International. In the last decade he has served on the board of directors for Nixon Uniform Services from 2008 to 2013 and for Stamford Hospital from 2008 to 2013.
